Radiant Power/Dukane Seacom has been named one of the 2018 Best Places to Work in Sarasota-Manatee. The Herald-Tribune has partnered with Best Companies Group to identify companies that have excelled in creating quality workplaces for employees.

This survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best companies to work for in Sarasota and Manatee counties. The list is made up of 27 companies. The full Best Places to Work in Sarasota-Manatee list will be featured in the November 11 issue of Herald-Tribune and will be available online at www.HeraldTribune.com.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
• Be a publicly or privately held business.
• Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity.
• Have a facility in Sarasota County or Manatee County.
• Have a minimum of 15 full-time or part-time employees working in Sarasota County and/or Manatee County.
• Must be in business a minimum of one year.

Determining the Best Places to Work in Sarasota-Manatee involved a two-step process. The first step consisted of evaluating each participating company’s workplace policies, practices and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part included employee surveys aimed at assessing the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to their workplace. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the best companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final ranking.

DK180 STC Certificate

Sarasota, FL. – August 22, 2018, The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to Dukane Seacom for installation of the DK180 Underwater Locator Beacon (ULB) on the following platforms: Boeing 737, 747, 767, 777, 787, and Airbus A320, to comply with the internationally mandated installation of a low frequency ULB on aircraft that fly extended routes over water by December 31, 2018.

Dukane Seacom Acquires Flight Critical Aerospace Electronics Product Line

Hollywood, FL., Sarasota, FL., and St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada – April 17, 2018, HEICO Corporation (NYSE: HEI.A and HEI) today announced that its Dukane Seacom Inc. (“Dukane Seacom”) subsidiary acquired 100% of the business and assets of the Emergency Locator Transmitter Beacon product line of Instrumar Limited (“ELT Product Line” or “ELT”) in an all cash transaction. Dukane Seacom is part of HEICO’s Electronic Technologies Group.
